Just a quick look at what should you look for when buying a complete golf set package. Lots of people who start playing golf buy complete packages, we will look at beginners sets. A bag of clubs is limited to 14 including the putter.
A full set of clubs usually includes a Driver (no1 wood) 2 fairway woods (3, and 5) plus irons 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,PW (pitching wedge) SW (sand wedge) and a putter. Often these days the 3 and 4 iron are replaced with clubs called hybrids or utility clubs, they are much easier to hit for the beginner. There are many different combinations available. When deciding which irons to buy I would recommend choosing a cavity backed set of irons, means they are so much more forgiving than the alternative forged blade clubs. Larger headed clubs will also help as they tend to have a larger sweetspot, making the club easier to hit well.
Shafts are made from a choice of steel or graphite, either is fine, the main consideration should be the flex, avoid stiff flex when starting out. Instead look for a regular flex or ladies flex shaft.
Included in your set a combination of the woods and irons plus a Sand Wedge, putter & a golf bag. I would also recommend one or two hybrid clubs for those longer fairway shots, they are very handy and can get you out of a lot of trouble!
